About Me

Hi!

My name is Autumn. I have had a love for technology since I was a child, and being a child that grew up in the 90s, I was able to witness the technology boom and some of the original versions of some of the best technology we have today. I have also always loved to take things apart and put them back together, smaller machines being some of my favorites. Today, I am pursuing a degree in Cyber and Data Security Technology, hoping to work in IT after graduation. I still love to take things apart and learn about new advancements in the world of technology. Still, after my service in the Air Force, working in security, I also found a new love for the cyber and data security world. I have always found the skills and talents of those who work in cybersecurity impressive, and I want to learn these skills myself. In addition to these, my true hope is to find a way to do what I love with technology and my degree while also having the freedom to live away from the big cities, out in nature in my free time, but still having the ability to do the work that I am passionate about.

 My experience building a program using the Scratch language was enlightening. Initially, I struggled with attempting the more specific tasks, such as attempting to get the characters to do specific tasks. Still, the overall experience was fun and straightforward with its drag-and-drop interface, allowing room for creative choices without needing to know the ends and outs of text-based coding.
